THE VICTIMS
It is always important to understand the nuances of the affected population first before one can effectively plan how to deliver psychological help. Therefore, I will describe some detail about the victims first.
The killer first entered the Al-Noor mosque and killed 42 people. He then drove to Linwood Islamic Centre where he shot dead 7 people. One person died shortly after in Christchurch Hospital, and one succumbed to his injuries on 2 May, bringing the total number of death to 51. 50 other people were injured.
