ABOUT THE RECENT EVENTS IN FRANCE - PART 1
In the Noble Quran Muhammad (peace be upon him) has been described as "رحمتہ الّلعالمین" (mercy to all the worlds), and not as mercy to Muslims only. In his life there were many incidents when he was abused, attacked and called all sorts of names some of which are mentioned in the Holy Qur'an as well. He never took revenge for his own person.
In Hadith there is the story of his travel to Ta'if when he was stoned to an extent that he shed so much blood that it clotted in his shoes and he couldn't take them off. However, when hazrat Jibra'il (Gabriel) (peace be upon him) asked him whether the people of Ta'if should be crushed with stones, he declined and prayed for them.
In the Battle of Uhud he lost two teeth when attacked. He did not take revenge for it.
In Hadith there is the story of an old woman who there rubbish in his way. One day when he didn't see her he inquired about her. When he was told she was sick he went to inquire after her health.
When his uncle Hazrat Hamza (RAA) was martyred and Abu Sufyan's wife cut out and tried to chew his liver, he did not take revenge from both of them.
The Quraysh of Makkah boycotted against his whole clan to the extent that they did not have enough to eat which is said to have contributed to the death of his beloved first wife Hazrat Khadijah (may Allah be pleased with her). However, when he conquered Makkah he said, "I speak to you in the same words as Yusuf spoke to his brothers. This day there is no reproof against you; Go your way, for you are free." Only ten people were ordered to be killed but even among them several were later spared.
